Prerequisites

Ensure the core EventON plugin is installed and activated:

1. Download the latest version from your MyEventON account.
2. Follow the official EventON installation & activation guide.

Installation

Install and activate the Events Map addon using the standard EventON addon installation process: View General Addon Installation Guide

Configuration

Navigate to EventON → Settings → Location in your WordPress dashboard.

1. Google Maps API Key (Required)

Due to Google’s updated API policies, you must obtain and enter your own API key: Follow Google Maps API Key Setup Guide

Tip: You can temporarily disable Google Maps globally using the “Disable Google Maps API” toggle at the top of this settings page.

2. Map Behavior & Appearance Settings

Add Map to Page

Navigate to a new page or existing page. Add EventON Block. See Adding Calendar to Your Site.

From EventON Block click Calendar Generator > Event Map. See Shortcode Generator on how to use eventON calendar generator.

In the shortcode generator, configure the map settings to your desired values. Click button at bottom right, to apply shortcode changes to block.

Click Save or Update page.
